Oelwein and Collaboration

Part of the Blue Zones application is to provide evidence of how Oelwein collaborates with others.  Perhaps it is because of necessity, or our size, or the vision we have for the future of Oelwein, but collaboration has been a part of our make up for the last decade.


Enrichment Center:  This center is a community owned facility that is governed by four separate 28E agreements that define the operations of each unit…….

Sports Complex

Another example of our Community’s resourcefulness occurred in 2003… a collaborative partnership was developed to accomplish the common goal financing and operating a new sports facility.

A third example of the community’s ability to collaborate and successfully advance community initiatives is the RAMS Center.
